Kickstarter now supports different shipping rates for different countries or zones for physical rewards.
There was a new post on the official Kickstarter blog today explaining this new feature with an animated GIF.
As a Canadian I appreciate potentially paying less on shipping for rewards from for US-based projects. There were many campaigns I didn't pledge to because the international shipping cost didn't make it worth it for me.
Kickstarter added feature for more shipping rate options.
