Ugh I hate those kinds of med problems. I hate our medical establishments way of not listening to patients.ShadowCub wrote:Nowhere near normal. I think a lot of it is related to the MASSIVE med changes they made while I was in the hospital which even after seeing the appropriate doctor were in no way changed back. Saw them twice the first week of March, won't see them again until the end of April.TashaTurner wrote:Blackouts are bad. Since the "hit by truck" in March 2012 I can relate to memory & cognition problems.
Take care of yourself. If this isn't normal see your doc.
I'm just hoping nothing permanent is happening so that when things get corrected, I won't have lasting issues....

Great ideas guys! This is just the kind of feedback we were hoping for about the contest! So, we're going to revise it in some of the ways you've suggested. In a nutshell here are the revised rules:
You'll get entries into the contest by based on the following:
Comment on a project:
2 entries (all levels)
Pledge any amount for a project:
2 entries (all levels)
Both comment and pledge on same project:
10 entries (levels 1 & 2)
12 entries (levels 3 & 4)
14 entries (levels 5 & 6)
16 entries (level 7)
And, based on feedback from the survey it appears that most people prefer more medium and smaller prizes that give them more chances of winning than a few big prizes. So, we came up with the following distribution that will allow for 28 winners!
$100 in BackerBucks -- 4 winners
$50 in BackerBucks -- 6 winners
$25 in BackerBucks -- 8 winners
$10 in BackerBucks -- 10 winners
There won't be any of the 28 prizes that are restricted to just one particular lounge. We liked the idea that was suggested for higher level members getting more entries for the same action because this does honor the higher level member's position yet allows everyone many additional chances to win.
We'll update the contest page in the lounge as well but wanted to let you all know first.

OH! I forgot one super-important piece of info. We aren't going to just select 3 Secret Projects, but rather 1 Secret Project everyday! So, there will be a total of 35 Secret Projects by the time we do the drawing on May 1. Each one of these that you have commented on or backed will be eligible for the entries.

I like the new method better although I'm not sure if any of us said we preferred more for higher ranking (I stated the opposite). I think the others accepted it as a given. Gang correct me if I'm wrong.
May I suggest that before implementing new contests in the future you run them past us first? Think of it like a preview. Find out what backers want before running the Kickstarter to have greater success and less misunderstandings/frustration/anger.

I don't see Mark bring me in as a partner. I have no money to bring to the operation and I'm a pain in the neck. Plus long term I'm not interested in working more than 10-20 hours a week due to my health.ShadowCub wrote:One of these days, Tasha, I expect to see you in charge and Mark making suggestions instead of the other way around....
Don't know that he'd hire me to do the stuff I keep suggesting be done around here given how much I argue. I don't come cheap.

TL;DR I'm sick this week. I'm hoping to get the past 2 days as well as today up in a bit.Humor4fun wrote:Tasha,
I've been using your other thread for my daily checklist of projects to back and I see you haven't updated it in a few days. Something gone wrong there?
It's Passover so life is crazy and as usual the diet change has aggravated my fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, digestive problems, add in a sore throught, and possibly a fever and I'm just not up to the 15-60 minutes it takes to do the list each day. My iPad refreshes each time I change tabs and it's slow to load. So I have to do everything in a memo and then copy over here, format, save. Due to the amount of projects I've backed some days doing anything related to projects here can be slow to load. I have an old iPad 2 which has problems so some days loading Kickstarter is like watching paint dry.
Prayers and/or good thoughts for me getting back to my normal state of disabled would be appreciated.

Sending healing thoughts your way Tasha.
My question: How are you commenting without backing? I thought it was a requirement of KS.
Also, I am hoping that projects I have already backed and commented on when they later join BC will count for the competition.
