Hi,
I want to speak to you about Asterion, a brand new interactive cartoon concept dreamt up by Maroin Eluasti.
Available to download on smartphones and tablets, as well as via VOD platforms… Asterion is an adventure cartoon series in which it will be up to viewers to decide what happens to the hero in episode 13! The promising project launched a campaign on crowd-funding platform Kickstarter on Thursday 21 October 2015 in order to raise the last funds needed to produce the pilot and get the series rolling.
Japan
The Frenchman, who grew up in the northern town of Tourcoing, set about finding animators in his native region as well as in Paris and Japan. He even called upon some of the “stars”: Shichiro Kobayashi, who created the backgrounds for Nobody’s Boy: Remi, Yasuhiro Irie, who adapted the manga Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Hiroshi Shimizu, best-known for feature films such as Princess Mononoke and Porco Rosso.
These prestigious partnerships date back 15 years, to a visit Maroin made to Japan to carry out research for a book on Franco-Japanese co-productions.
Jam-packed with references and nods to Japanese animated classics, Asterion delights viewers by paying a spirited homage to The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Dragon Ball and One Piece whilst retaining the best elements of more recent high-quality productions by Studio Ghibli, Evangelion, Sword Art Online and Kill la Kill…
They reached123 % and they need your help to do better and make an incredible series
Thanks
