StarSailor - LiveSky, with its app and add-ons, allows you to determine if you are getting a restful sleep and if not, why. The settings and data analysis will let you know and monitor room temperature, decipher humidity level, help establishing air quality as measured by dust particles

By doing so, you can determine how long you slept and what the conditions were – temperature, lighting, sound, etc.

The "Sleep Timer" feature will also let StarSailor and the room go dark allowing for deep sleep. Scared of the dark? You can leave the unit on low lighting all night as well, like a night light but cooler.

An Ambience Creator:

StarSailor - LiveSky also provides soothing sounds to help you drift off to sleep- including gently ocean waves, white noise, swishing trees and other peaceful ambient sounds. These sounds can also be muted at pre-set times (like 10, 30, or 50 min), or allowed continue through the night as white noise to block out the outside sounds and disturbances.

A Sleep Monitoring System:

StarSailor - LiveSky has several sensors that work along with optional add ons to monitor the atmospheric conditions in your bedroom to help improve your sleep. The temperature, humidity, dust particles and such conditions can be monitored while you sleep. When you can monitor and control these conditions, you can improve your sleep duration and quality much more.

"it's better when we're in sync" -- Using a low energy Bluetooth connection, you can use your smartphone to control your StarSailor – LiveSky device. This will allow you to control and change settings quickly without being directly beside your unit.

"if music be the food of love.." -- Built-in speakers allow you to play pre-recorded sounds such as Desert, Ocean, and Rain. Play this while viewing a starry sky and you’ve got the perfect atmosphere to fall asleep in – no pesky bugs and the comfort of your own bed; it’s almost like having a ceiling made of glass. You can also stream radio stations, play your iPod, or use the USB port for your MP3 player when you’re yearning for a quick song and dance.

Don’t worry, we can’t see or hear you so don’t hold back on your best Freddy Mercury impression or Harlem Shake. You can also sync your unit up to your own home audio system to add some oomph! to those bass pumping songs or that really scary movie you love.

"..the air soft as that of Seville in April.." -- The air quality in the room can significantly affect your sleep without your realizing it, as dust and other particulate matter can alter your breathing. The air quality sensor within StarSailor - LiveSky can detect dust, pollen and particulates in your bedroom air, so that you can know and adjust the conditions of your room to remove these sleep disturbances.

"..to live is to keep moving, but..” -- With the help of Add-ons StarSailor will track even more details about your snooze patterns. When do you fall asleep? Do you move a lot? Do you have a dog that jumps on and off your bed repeatedly and if so, does that disturb your sleep?

"..and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.” -- The night light function uses RGB LED lights that provide a soft, distinct glow. The unit lights up just enough to let you see around your room but not enough to spoil your sleep.

"..you’re hot then you’re cold.." -- Both temperature and humidity can potentially spoil your sleep, and it is important that you can detect and control these two conditions for the best night’s sleep. "WiFi with my little eye" -- The StarSailor – LiveSky device comes with a powerful WiFi chip built in. This allows the unit to access the most recent updates. It will also allow the global camera feeds to report live imaging back to your device so you can access real-time views as seen around the world.

"..am I awake or am I only dreaming?" -- Research says that sudden, loud blaring alarms are not the best way to wake up in the morning. The StarSailor - LiveSky device acts as a great alarm clock, which wakes you up gently and slowly. There are several projection devices that project the same bland and static images of the night sky or just stars. Some even play soothing sounds as ambience or soothing noise during the night. Then there are other separate devices that can sense some of the room conditions while you are asleep or awake.

However, nothing compares to what StarSailor – LiveSky has to offer.

How Does StarSailor - LiveSky Work?

StarSailor – LiveSky is a small and stylish projection device that can be placed on your nightstand or on a table in your bedroom. The device is controlled using a smartphone app which allows you to manage the projection settings – whether you want to switch from the night sky to the Northern Lights or from ocean waves to gently swishing trees.

The device has some optional add-ons: a thin, lightweight sleep bracelet, a teddy bear and a sleep pad. Together with the sensors on the projection device the details of your sleep duration, sleep restlessness and room conditions are recorded. You can then track these details on your smartphone and check under which conditions you get the best undisturbed sleep.

When you log on to the app using your smartphone you can personalize the sound and projection settings in many ways. You can also set timers for projection and sound so that they turn off at a particular time. In addition to this, you can also turn the sounds on at a particular time, thus making StarSailor – LiveSky a great alarm device that will wake you up with gentle sounds unlike the usual blaring alarm clocks.

Is the device battery operated? What about the add-ons?

- The device does not require batteries. It must be plugged into an electrical socket. The add-ons are battery operated. However, we have designed them to last approximately one year. Replacements can be purchased through us at nominal cost.

Why should I purchase an add-on?

- Well, even though the StarSailor – LiveSky device does a lot of cool things while you sleep the add-ons get up close and personal. What do we mean by this? While the device itself monitors details about your room the add-ons monitor details about you. When you use an add-on you can learn additional things about your sleep habits such as how fast you fall asleep, how long you stay asleep, and how much you might move around. This will help tell you if you’re a sound sleeper or a restless one. These are some of the reasons you should purchase an add-on.

Where can I use StarSailor - LiveSky?

- There is no need to restrict the use of your device to any particular room. As we said before, we prefer the bedroom but feel free to experiment and tell us what your favorite room is! The unit is portable and lightweight so you can take it with you on business trips, visiting the in-laws, or just anywhere you might want to watch a movie or take a nap.

Which phones/devices can StarSailor - LiveSky be used with?

- At this time, it is our plan to make it compatible with iOS, Android and Windows based phones and tablets.

How far away can I be from the device to operate or change settings?

- Since the device syncs up with your smartphone using Bluetooth, normal ranges could be applied here. The average distance for Bluetooth connection is 10 metres or 33 feet. So long as you are within this range and the devices have room to communicate you should be able to skip over that song that you don’t want anyone to know you actually really like.

How big is the device and are there different designs?

- At this time we have designed one unit. We think it’s pretty sleek and sexy, don’t you? Once we get this unit up to our high standards we will absolutely consider other designs but for now, this is the one we’re sticking with. We do make it nice and compact at around 6.30” by 3.15” (~16x8 cm) weighing only a few pounds.

When will it be ready to ship?

- Depending on the success of this campaign – hint, hint – we will have it ready to ship by February 2018, possibly sooner. We promise to keep you posted on the timeline as we progress.

Will you be adding more features to StarSailor - LiveSky?

* From things such as software development, legal consultations, running costs, licenses, Indiegogo fees and everything in between we have done our best to use our own equipment, supplies and funding. For things like hardware, tooling, manufacturing and prototypes there are large numbers involved. We are very meticulous and careful with our calculations for cost; this includes financial, manpower and time invested as well. We cover as much as we can but this campaign will help us with some of the larger numbers that alone, we just can’t reach..

Alarm clock, night light, built-in microphone to pick up sounds, WiFi system, controlled using smartphone apps, plus more cool features. In addition to all of that, we want this to be an “Open Source” project with IFTTT support and Z-Wave capabilities but this requires support from a community. We believe you are part of that StarSailor – LiveSky community and together we will make this device a must-have for every home.

We would like to let you know we have set very high standards for this project and we will not stop until we are satisfied. We still have some stars to map out, if you will, be we have a team of qualified and dedicated people working on this.
