The problem with sweat is that it allows bacteria to grow in clothes which cause bad odor throughout the day. Through our product, we want to help you stay fresh by eliminating these odor-causing bacteria.

By applying an antimicrobial treatment called microbePROTEK™, your Lotus shirt is designed to eliminate odor-causing bacteria. The technology of our product is compliant to the standard of EPA (U.S Environmental Protection Agency) and the EU.

The shirt adapts to your lifestyle. From your commute to your daily activities, we want your shirt to smell the same way when it left your home.

Because of the antimicrobial properties present, it does not allow fungi to to cultivate thus allowing shirt to have longer use.

This technology adopts a non-leaching antimicrobial property. This means that the product does not put you in a position that can cause skin irritation.

Most antimicrobial mechanisms involve dangerous chemicals like Ag (Silver) which can harm your skin and the environment. These chemical compounds allow bacteria to adapt and eventually grow, making the antimicrobial property void.

In LOTUS, we prioritize customer and environment safety. Our antimicrobial mechanism involves needle like structures embedded on the shirt that punctures the odor-causing microbes. This method is more effective because it does not leave room for bacteria to grow and does not harm your skin or the environment. This is what the microbePROTEKtechnology does to your shirt. 

Colored Plate Count Agar was the medium used to grow bacteria. The color indicates the part of the shirt where it was taken from (the color was only used to differentiate one from another: orange for underarm and pink for neckline) The population was grouped into 4, the first group (A) are active males, the second group (B) are active females, the third group (C) are passive males and the fourth group (D) are passive females. One random sample was chosen for every population. 

Labeling of each sample: 

1. First letter indicates the group. 

2. First digit indicates the body part. (1 - Underarm, 2 - Neckline) 

3. Second digit signifies the replication. 

The tests show no bacterial growth, proving that the product really works.
