The UNO headphone stand began development in 2014. After many concept design iterations, and prototypes, we have created a product that is economical, easy to use, beautiful to look at, and everlasting.
The team here at Thius set out to create a product to not just hold your headphones, organize your desk, and prevent damage, but also make something you would be proud to display your headphones on. A design that would compliment all of the high end products that normally sit on your desk without taking to much space.
The idea started from a pair of very expensive headphones from one of our team members which were badly damaged and rough looking from sitting down on his office table. This brought together a group of friends, to design and prototype the UNO, start our company Thius, and most importantly have fun making something we would be proud to share with the world.
We knew we wanted the UNO to be strong, thin, and lightweight. With the design evolution going through several iterations regarding dimensions and shape, to achieve the perfect equilibrium.
We knew we wanted to use an Aerospace Grade aluminum alloy from the very beginning. Aluminum is widely used in automotive and high end consumer products, besides aerospace. The alloy we chose presents high strength to weight characteristics and enables the very thin, sleek design of the UNO and the awesome high end look.
Lots of headphone stands are big and take lots of desk space. The UNO is small and only takes up about the size of a smartphone on a desk.
Designed and manufactured using one piece of aluminum. No fasteners or assembly required. This allows for the UNOs sleek, flowing design.
Just apply it on your desk, place your favourite pair of headphones and you are done!
Designed with a beautiful matte surface finish to give it the soft matte look and feel that compliments the high end devices you use everyday.
The UNO will be available in two colours, matte Silver and matte Black but if we are able to exceed our funding goal we will be looking into the costs of adding more colours for you to choose from.
We will also be offering a limited edition Gold UNO to 100 backers.
The UNO is capable of holding most on or over ear headphones.
Lots of current headphone stands by way of there design limit the size of headphones that fit. By not leaving enough room to hang or by stretching the headphones over a large curved surface.
The UNO is designed in order to allow your headphones to hang in there natural position and is tall enough to so you can keep your headphones adjusted to your head size and not have to re adjust every time you want to use them.
The greatest difference between the UNO and other headphone stands is Microsuction.
To guarantee that the UNO stand and your headphones do not leave the top of your desk (accidentally ‘running’ away due to an unintended impact), the UNO has two pads of Microsuction film in its base to adhere to your desk.
If you dont know about Microsuction, it is a material that is currently being used in several new products on Kickstarter and showing up around the web everyday.
Microsuction uses microscopic pores to stick itself and hold to smooth surfaces without using glue or adhesives. Just the two small pads on the bottom plane of the UNO holds two pounds of side force.
Microsuction makes the UNO easy to be moved to a new location whenever you want withoutleaving behind adhesive residues.
Microsuction allows the UNO to rest firmly to a desk or flat surface without slipping or sliding around.
Remember, this doesn't leave any mark on any surface and can easily be reapplied to a different surface!
The Microsuction pads are also very resistant and any dirt or contaminants like dust can be easily removed to make the Microsuction stick like new.

We are currently with some suppliers and are working with them in order to take the prototypes we have right now, and make them easily mass producible.
UNO is a Product of Canada. All production, manufacturing, assembly and packaging is done in Canada, and priced in Canadian dollars. All of the companies that are helping us with production are local to us and this allows us to have greater control over quality of each UNO produced.
