Some of the people closest to us (including our parents, relatives and grandparents) may not be comfortable using somewhat complex mobile phone applications that require syncing and programming. Fear no more! The all-in-one LOST AND FOUND is here! User-simplicity has been our goal from the get-go. Alleviating small daily stresses like misplacing keys, T.V. remotes and glasses cases can go a long way! Not to mention, it makes for a fantastic and affordable gift for those who are hard to buy for!

FEATURES:

• SMALL DESIGN:

It’s ergonomic design allows the LOST AND FOUND Tags to be attached to almost anything without getting in the way!

The backing board is also roughly the same size as a light-switch!

• LONG RANGE:

The LOST AND FOUND has an approximate working radius of 80 feet! Allowing it to work throughout the entire house and most work places!

• UNIVERSAL LABELING:

Different people, families, groups or colleagues lose different things. So we've given the users the power to write down 5 frequently lost items that specifically pertain to them. 

• REMOVABLE TRANSMITTER:

If you think you've left the item you’re looking for outside the home or workplace you can easily slide the transmitter out of the backing board, allowing you to extend your range wherever you feel the specified item may be!

• BATTERY CAP AND SPEAKER BOTH ON FRONTAL PANEL:

The easy to remove battery cap is located on the frontal panel, which allows the LOST AND FOUND Tags to be attached flush on any surface AND allows the user to change the battery (6-8months) without having to detach the LOST AND FOUND Tag from the item.

• DRY-ERASE BACKING BOARD:

If an item ever becomes out-dated, replaced, or you just want to change things up, simply erase and re-label a frequently lost item on the backing board and remove the LOST AND FOUND Tag from the previous item and attach it to the new one.

TIMELINE:

Our goal is to have the LOST AND FOUND in users' hands for the holiday season! Below is our plan to make that happen:

• March / April: Roll-out the Kickstarter campaign and make tons of new friends! Finalize manufacturing agreements.
• May / June: Give the green light on tooling execution. Approve final tooling and design.
• July / August:  Begin manufacturing process.
• September / October: Complete manufacturing and begin shipment.
• November: Finalize shipment process and begin order fulfillment.
• December: Complete order fulfillment before the holidays and bring smiles to forgetful faces around the world when they unwrap their LOST AND FOUNDs!  

THE STORY:

Upon graduating from University I decided to go against the grain and 'go for it.'

The almost 2 year journey of going from a pencil-crayoned sketch to a tangible working product that puts a smile on people’s faces makes it all worth-while and proves that if you really do set your mind to something, take risks and work your ass off, anything is possible.

After endless ups and downs, patents, trademarks, prototypes, overseas manufacturing contracts, FCC approvals, packaging specs and stories that could last hours, I find myself here, ready to show the world the LOST AND FOUND via the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. A close friend of mine, named Jordan Oram, truly outdid himself with the video. His professionalism and willingness to see the potential inspires me (insert plug here: [email protected] - Toronto - contact for bookings). We shot the video with a $0 budget and with help from my Mom, my friend’s Grandma and an extremely well behaved Golden Retriever; I think we killed it.

It’s do or die time, and I’m hoping the rest of the world can share the same view that I have: that there are still those people, a lot of which are extremely close to us, that aren’t comfortable using their cell phones for more than their basic functions and like us, lose things all the time.

So the next time you see your parents, baby boomers, grandparents or anyone else that wouldn’t be familiar or comfortable with using a somewhat complex mobile application, simply mumble the words, "Lost and Found" and be sure to keep them in mind when it’s time to surprise them with a creative gift that can solve an everyday problem.
