This is where it all started. 2014 was a BIG YEAR for InSoul. With the Kickstarter community and our early supporters, we were able to raise enough capital for our 1st EVER production run...this was not EASY. However, your tremendous backer support blew us away helping to reach our project goal amount raising over $70,000 which enabled InSoul to move forward with production.

What is a DRESS SNEAKER?
What makes a Dress Sneaker better than a sneaker?
A Dress Sneaker gets better with time by softening and conforming to the shape of your foot, similar to a dress shoe. A sneaker gets worse the more you wear them. The comfort component of a sneaker compresses and eventually becomes hard and bad for the foot.
How is a Dress Sneaker made differently?
A sneaker is made in a large manufacturing plant that mass produces million of shoes. The sneaker gets passed down an assembly line so no one person ever has ownership of it throughout the process worrying more about the quantity than the quality. A Dress Sneaker/dress shoe is made in a small artisan's shop where one cobbler/craftsman takes full ownership of each and ever shoe. They have passion for their craft as a art form and pride in what their shop delivers to the public.
Goals for Season II: We would like to fulfill 2 of the most common suggestions/ideas made by our backers from Season I:
1.) Colors - many of our backers and brand supporters wanted more COLOR in the product
"DRESS SUEDES" fit true to size. For example, if you measure as an 8.5 on a Brannock device (those metal devices used at nearly every shoe store), we suggest you purchase an 8.5. All widths are standard "D", which accommodates most feet.
If you don't know your size and decide you can't make it to the shoe store to get help with the measurement, then you can use this printable version of the Brannock device.
When it comes to fit and comfort...InSoul offers a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. If ordered the wrong size? No worries. Simply contact us for a Return Authorization and proper Exchange Instructions. Note: we can only afford to make this offer for 100% unused/unworn/undamaged shoes, so please be sure to fit your DRESS SUEDES inside and around your house before wearing out and about.

The TEAM:
Tara Livingston - President of InSoul InDustries and Project Lead. Tara worked at Diesel, 7 For All Man Kind, and UGG. She was a footwear developer communicating with the factories on a daily basis regarding samples, tracking, and pricing. For InSoul she is the backbone; handling almost everything from project campaigns & fulfillment, general customer service, press & marketing, product development, costing, pre-production & commercialization, travel, trade shows and more.
Sean OShea - Brand Founder/Owner and the Original: Season 1 Project creator. Sean is an ex-college basketball player who went on to study Industrial Design. He has been designing shoes for over 15 years for major footwear companies such as Converse, Reebok, Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Nike and more. In 2008 Sean founded InSoul and has continued working on the Brand from time to time.
