Behind Hillking Supply Co.

The Hillking Supply Company is made up of a group of childhood best friends based in Columbus, OH. 

Growing up in Ohio we were all exposed to hard work and learned from our families that the quality of work that you put in dictates the quality of the product that you get out. From that teaching we all grew up knowing the value of good quality, hard work and over the years that translated into our passion for clothing. Coming from different style influences we all came together as a team with one major agreement: Quality matters Most. Quality crafted clothing, accessories and head wear, though, were nearly impossible to find. The few brands we did happen to stumble upon either fell short on craftsmanship or they were practically unaffordable. 

This is what sparked us to make what we love; quality, hand crafted, stylish clothing at a price that our grandparents would be proud of. All of this mixed with our passion for timeless styling, a love for the outdoors and our commitment to quality, gave birth to what is now Hillking Supply Co. 

 The Clothing

Currently our collection is comprised of tee shirts, crewneck sweatshirts and 3/4 baseball shirts as well as head wear in the way of beanies and 5 panel camp hats. We pride ourselves in using only the highest quality materials we can source in all of our apparel as well as our head wear and accessories with all of our products sourced and crafted right here in the USA. 

 All of our tee shirts and crew necks are made with high quality tri-blend fabric making them super soft and so comfortable you may never want to take them off. 

 In addition, we work very hard on all of the head wear pieces that we produce. Not only do we ensure that the construction and materials used in the pieces are up to our quality standards, but we also hand make and stitch every leather patch that goes onto our head wear. Yes, real leather. We work from a raw veg tanned leather hide and proceed to cut, stamp, dye and sew each patch individually, so no two hats are identical. 

We hope to expand into different styles of apparel including henleys, tanks, more women s silhouettes as well as bags (in stretch goals...more below!) 

 "Leave Your Mark" Recycling Program

In addition to the clothing and accessories that we make, we've recently been working to develop and start our "Leave Your Mark" recycling program. This program will help us to reduce our brands impact on the environment by reusing the paper that we wrap and ship all of our products in. 

 We'll then have our customers 'Leave Their Mark' by adding a small signature or picture on the wrapping paper detailing where its been or who its been with and sending it back to us. We'll then use that same wrapping paper in a future order to another customer where the process will repeat itself and the journey that our wrapping paper has taken can be shared with all of our customers. As the paper gets filled we'll reduce our impact on the environment and bring the Hillking community a little closer together. 

Once the paper is completely covered, it will be applied to a canvas and put up for grabs on our site so that we are all able to hold a living piece of the Hillking brand. 

Where the Funds Will Go 

Currently our stock is made up of sample pieces that we were able to design, create and share with some of our customers and supporters and now we need your help to bring our pieces to the rest of the world. Your contribution will allow us to reach the minimums required to start production on our first two Official Seasons of releases for spring/summer and fall of 2015. We'll also be able to shoot and produce our very first hard copy Lookbook and upgrade our website user interface, making it much simpler to shop with us. For backing us you could be one of the first to grab a Hillking Supply Co piece from our spring/summer 2015 collection. You’ll be helping us bring our project to the world, and for that, we will forever be grateful! Without you, we couldn't do this! 

Stretch Goals 

• At $17,500 we will begin work on more pieces suited toward a women's silhouettes, including crop tops and sweaters. 
•  At $20,000 we will begin work on henleys and cardigans to add to our Hillking Basics Collection. 
•  At $25,000 we will begin work on canvas bags to add into our collection.

Claiming Your Reward

• End of March - Once the campaign is complete, you'll get an email from us asking for the important information (your size, color selection (if applicable)), as well as the address that you want your reward(s) sent to. 
• Mid April - Once we have your orders finalized, we'll begin our 3 week production process.  
• Mid May - Just in time for sunny spring days and cool spring evenings! Your reward(s) will be packaged up with love from our team and at your door in no time!
