To a time when tribes united and worked together, creating the finest textiles and art in the world.
KUSIKUY wants to bring this world back to you.
Building on the heritage of Andean art and our 18 years of experience working in Bolivia, we created the world’s finest glitten, a glove/mitten, hand stitched from the king’s alpaca, that custom forms to your hand and is guaranteed for 5 years. Each glitten takes 12 hours and 2,000 stitches to make by hand with knitting needles, love and blessings.
Only 1,000 glittens will be knit this season. When they are gone, there are no more. Pre-order now to guarantee your pair - for the next 5 years!
And while you're at it, grab some pairs for loved ones too. Or stock your shelves if you have a store. We'll help you share the love by giving you 50% off bulk buys of glittens by the dozen.
We use the world’s finest 100% alpaca fiber and work with Bolivia’s most elite knitters who sign each glove they knit and send a blessing card.
...In Bolivia we call this the Ch’alla!
KUSIKUY gloves are designed for maximum dexterity and warmth. Wear them all day. Fall in love with our arm sock version.
Designed by men, for men (but can be enjoyed by women too!).
KUSIKUY is setting new standards for transparency, respect, slow fashion and spiritual connection through handmade clothing.
Most amazing of all, we build relationships between customers and producers – using social media platforms on smart phones to enable direct communication, setting new standards in transparent and sustainable fashion. We have known KUSIKY knitters for 18 years.
This relationship has changed our lives. We want to share this with you.
KUSIKUY is a Fair Trade company that works directly with Bolivian alpaca herder cooperatives, and knitting groups – hundreds of people we know personally and have had a long relationship with. I look to build best practices in sustainable development while bringing dignity and respect to their lives and the wonder, love and prayers of the Andes to the lives of our KUSIKUY clients. Thank you!
What we need Kickstarter for:
We already have strong relationships with the best Bolivian producers and herders having worked with over 300 women in the Andes for the past 18 years, but we need help with this new phase of KUSIKUY. We will use funds raised to pay for this year's inventory production, customer outreach and educaiton, and the creation of an extended line of lusciously amazing accessories and sweaters for Fall 2017.
