Hello Wonderful backers and future backers :)
I thought today I would take a moment to talk about my design inspiration for the Jetsetter Tote bag. I am avid fan of classic Hollywood Films from the 30s and 40s and even into the 50s (anything with Cary Grant, really). My favorite art period, Art Deco, falls in part of that time period, and heavily influenced the opulence and images from those days.
My goal with the Jetsetter was to create something that really paid homage to that era and bring a little class back to air travel.
Here are a few images that served as inspiration when making the design:
The original phoenix motif that I drew, to me was not only a literal symbol for flight, but also represented to me what travel really is all about- new adventures, inspirations, and even beginnings.
I chose Denim and leather to create the bag, because I have always been a fan of those two materials, and honestly, you can't get much more Americana than that. I thought it would be interesting to combine the two in a more refined and luxe kind of way, not typical of what is in the marketplace.
Thanks
Imron
After receiving helpful suggestions from the forum, here are some additional photos to hopefully make the product more "real".....I didn't think of posting these first, just because when I created my campaign, I was thinking of something creative and fun to do, and I didn't think lifestyle photos would go with the vintage theme.....but here are a few....I hope it gives you a better sense of the bag....I hope to make a small video clip sometime showing the bag being filled or something...personal circumstances at the moment, make it a bit difficult, so please bear with me......
Here you can see, that it works as designed for both Men and Women...
Thank you so much for those that have backed my humble little project. And a thank you as well for the others that took the time to view it. I have added a new reward for people that want to support this project but don't necessarily want the tote bag...
A vintage oversized postcard that goes with the overall humorous and fun theme that I tried to create... I will hand write a personalized thank you and once I finish school and launch my own label, I will have a special thank you page with all backers listed.

In order to subliminally manipulate you into supporting this project, I have methodically and scientifically distilled marketing and lifestyle branding down to its most crucial and fundamental aspects and incorporated the five key elements into a carefully crafted campaign that cannot be resisted.
So hang on to your hats...
#1 Heritage
#2 Aspirational
#3 Exclusivity
#4 Social Signaling
#5 Emotional Need
Sumptuous full grain leather, durable 13 oz denim, and luxe brass hardware make it the tote bag for the sartorially inclined.
Perfect for your next global getaway or local cafe rendezvouz.
Classic styling and a timeless look harkens back to an era when people traveled in style, yet on trend for today's modern consumer.
Original, hand drawn, art deco inspired motif serves as a nod to the early days of commercial aviation and the jestsetter lifestyle.
Fully lined interior and zippered pocket for extra durability and sophistication.
And I can tell you all about how luxury and high end brands customarily mark up their products anywhere from 6 to 8 times over cost, making the Jetsetter tote retail starting around $300 and you wouldn't even bat an eye...
But with great power comes great responsibility, and I don't want to take undue advantage of you due to my marketing prowess, so....
So, this bag is essentially my first design and it is a limited edition exclusive to Kickstarter (who knows, it may one day be a collector's item, so act fast before it is too late!).
