To ensure The Regenerative Tee genuinely stand the test of time, over the past few months, we sent some of our shirts to different 'outsiders' around the world, asking them to put our shirts through a variety of adventures in all types of conditions- from epic ridgeline hikes to sending boulders to doing yoga (in Alaska!). The people shown in our video are just some of these remarkable people doing what they do best- enjoying the outdoors.

First, we got into research mode and tore up a bunch of 'lightweight' shirts. We measured just how 'light' they were with a precision balance machine that measures exactly the weight in gsm (grams per square meters). 

Most 'lightweight' fabrics fell between the 120gsm range, with some weighed in at 100gsm, 90gsm and even one with 80 gsm (but this shirt was $60!)

Air-Knit weighed in at only 72gsm and cost $29 in our Super Early Bird tier.

Merrow® seam:

Our Merrow® seams are super soft and durable at the same time, allowing you to wear your backpacks for long period of time without any of those skin chafing nonsense that you would get from poor quality seam construction. 

Logo:

We thought long and hard on this one- on the one hand, we understand why it is important to show our logo, on the other, we don't like big branded logos. And sure enough, we wanted to use the best sustainable methods to do all this too, so we got busy. After months of sourcing and testing, we have perfected a printing technique for our neck label that uses no plastic heat transfers (less weight and waste), prints with surgical precision on all colours (even on black), and stays on the garment permanently, without ever looking like those semi-peeled labels you often find with cheap heat transfers.

Reflective print:

For the reflective logo print, we often find reflective prints to be too silver and overly bright all the time, even when they're not lit. So we decided to go with a matte version that provides a more subtle reflective effect.

All our shirts are made in a WRAP certified factory in Vietnam, ensuring our values are met throughout the production process, from start to finish.

In January, we flew to Vietnam to visit our WRAP certified factory to go through a pre-production quality control for our Regenerative Tees. This included seeing the overall conditions and capacity of the factory, checking the conditions of machineries and equipments, and workers general well-being. We also met with the factories head of technician to go through every single detail in our tees, down to the thread, to ensure they are made to the highest of quality.

We are aiming to start delivery around the end of May, but just to be safe, we have put June as our planned delivery month. We will keep you guys updated closely on this in the update section. Shipping to the US will take between 7-14 days, tracked, so we'll have the tees delivered to your front door by Mid-June at the latest. 

We are able to offer a faster delivery schedule than normal campaigns because we had already made a deposit for producing our fabrics in February. We made this decision based on our original campaign's funding back in December 2018, which we decided to cancel and re-launch at a better date (this month!). It is a risk we took so that we can provide you with a faster delivery, just in time for your summer adventures.
