Wow, just wow. $1 million in 1st 49 minutes. Blows my mind.

1st day and they are the 5th most funded project right now. A very impressive 1st day.

I wonder if they are why Kickstarter website was down for a bit today.

Amazing. Wonder what it would have done if they had gone a year earlier, before Apple announced the iWatch? Not that they need to be concerned with that level of support and funding

It does look like the recent Kickstarter outages are Pebble Time related. It is currently at 50,246 backers pledging $10,953,518. The first campaign ($10,266,845 raised) has now been surpassed.

A piece of trivia I read on The Verge is that the warping/stretching transition animation for the Pebble Time actually originated as a glitch in refreshing the display that they then decided to make a feature. I am reminded that the speeding up in the classic game Space Invaders was also a refreshing the display glitch made into a feature.

Can't recommend this one enough. I backed the original Pebble and backed this one as well.

What the heck, you can buy pebble steel at Costco.com for 189.99

http://www.costco.com/Pebble-Steel-Smar ... 58195.html

Or a regular one at 94.99

Must be the older version. I really love Costco!
