Ending soon (46 hours):
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/co ... 3d-printer

Also, it's currently 98% funded, so pretty safe bet to go through.

I didn't talk about this one before for a couple reasons:
1) High price tag and no support tier
2) I'm a noob at 3D printing so no direct experience, but most of the comments from people that appear more experienced (have backed other 3d printers) say that this is a good deal for the price.

If you were thinking of getting your feet wet, might be a place to start.

P.S. - It was an interesting study in how higher priced KS items work for me too.

I so wish I could afford to back to receive one. Even my husband was on board if we actually had the money.

Backed to support and follow and will hope to purchase for Christmas.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Understand about the budget.

This was Cobblebot's 2nd KS. KS-1 going OK, some parts/delivery problems, but they appear to have addressed things pretty well for KS-2. Time will tell.

Good idea backing for a token amount. Comments are a from a wide range of 3d'ers, first timers like me to people who are backing their second (and beyond !) 3d printer project. Good 3d tips and resources being bandied about already, and you'll be able to see how this winds up.

Cobblebot seems to be in the business to stay, so hopefully they'll launch a 3rd KS when they're ready for their next push and you can get in on the ground floor for that one. I'll keep my eyes open on the customer site for an early warning and let you know if/when one is coming up.

I wish more high priced projects would put $1 or $5 levels to welcome backers who can't afford but want to support. I know I can do a $1 but it's hard to promote to friends/family if they don't have "support" us options.

Since joining Backerclub I've more than doubled the number of projects I've backed. I have to think "can I promote" as well as support now. Life is tough as a Kickstarter addict LOL.
