Okay, I'm doing this without looking at your campaign again, so forgive me for any mistakes.

What I was saying was, take your most popular reward (the $49 level from your message) and add an Add On (like the $8 pouch) and offer a small discount ($49 + $8 = $57, so maybe add a Reward called "Last Minute Deal" for $55 that includes those two items).

Then what I was saying was to add that Reward Tier just before the 48 hour mark (Hour 50 to go?) and then send out an update along the following both at about the same time that KS will send out it's automatic "48-Hour Notices":
FINAL 48 Hours!
We're current at $21,537 closing on our second Stretch Goal of $25,000 to add xyz (as an Add On, or Free with all Pledges of $ level or above, or whatever.)

To help us get there, I have added a special Last Minute Reward that lets you get the ($49 reward) same as ($49 tier name) but you ALSO get a pouch for 25% off the pouch! ($57-55 = $2. $2 is 25% of $8, the full price for the pouch. Make sense?) But you better hurry as I have only made 50 (pick a number that makes sense) at this discounted price.

Once you've snapped yours up, don't forget to let your friends know about this deal too by using the Share button on the main project page.

And when you're done with that, please check out <Campaign #1> that deserves your support too because <reason>.

12 hours later, you would send out another update like this:
Only 36 hours left!
This is getting exciting! We're now up to $22,987 on our way to unlocking <benefit> with our second Stretch Goal at $25,000. But it's going to be close!
We currently have 32 of our Last Minute Rewards left so hurry and grab yours while there's still time. And don't forget to Tweet about our campaign once you have yours locked up. We're really going to need your help to unlock the Stretch Goal in time!

You might also want to check out <Campaign #2> because it does <good thing>.
And another at 24 hours (encouraging people to share of Facebook) and 12 hours (mentioning Tumblr). Maybe even at 1 or 2 hours to go if you haven't quite hit that Stretch Goal yet.

To be honest, I've not yet seen anyone create a "Last Minute" Reward Tier, but I intend to do so when I roll my first project out. But I can't see how creating urgency with BOTH the countdown of hours in the campaign AND number of "Last Minute Rewards" left, along with a >specific< call to action (tell your friends, Tweet, etc.) and closing with a "I'm not running the only great project" tag to another worthwhile campaign could do anything less than get your more backers at higher pledges, thus hitting that Stretch Goal.

You might even want to figure out Stretch Goal #3 and list it on the Story tab and then swap it in for Stretch Goal #2 if you hit that early. To that end, at the very top of the Story Tab, I would encourage you to have something like:
Original Goal: $1,000 obliterated in just X hours! (or "on mm/dd")
Stretch Goal #1 added extra legs at $12,000 on mm/dd!
Stretch Goal #2 will add pouches as an Add On when we hit $25,000.
Stretch Goal #3 will add <yet another benefit> when we get to $40,000 (or whatever)
Whatever you do, though, make sure you can afford to actually produce & distribute the Stretch Goals even if the rest of your pledges come in at your least profitable reward level. (You have figured out what you net from each Tier after KS & Amazon fees along with how much it'll cost to produce that reward and worst case estimates on shipping both from manufacturer to you and you to Backers, right?)

I can't remember the project (disadvantage of backing 750+) but I have seen one or two recently as Shadow Cub recommends. It does create interest & social media activity.

Pouch is interesting. I might be more interested in a holder for the coffe table to place in when not in use. I can see my mother-in-law using something like that & it's something that comes with coasters. But depending on where you are at you don't want to add anything which might delay shipment.

Thanks for the input. (just realized there was a second page here) Maybe the pouch isn't a great idea and I don't know if men (highest percentage of our backers) would even be interested.

What do you think of our most popular reward is $49. Offer if you bring in 3 of your friends and they each back $39 and over you get 50% off your pledge of $49. They would have to send me the KS name so I could back check. I think discounts motivate people and seeing that it is an exclusive just to 'backers only' shouldn't be an issue.

Just hit $20K and looking to redo the top of the campaign and post and update more interesting than the previous.

I'm just not sure if that would be allowed. Viewed from the standpoint that I advertise for you (tweets, Facebook, etc.) and I may or may not get a benefit (Will at least 3 of my followers sign up? For at least $39? And remember to tell you my name?), it could be considered a "contest" which is prohibited.

Saving $24.50/Getting $24.50 back/however you handle it on my $49 pledge could be considered either a "coupon" or "financial incentive" both of which are also prohibited.

I'm just not sure.

If this is something you'd like to pursue, head over to https://www.kickstarter.com/contact and ask for clarification/permission. And if you do, PLEASE come back and let us know what KS said so that we'll ALL know for next time.

Guess at this point I don't want to rock the boat.

Seriously though, what do you think of the pouch? lame?

Ok, so I've found the pouch/sleeve that I want to use. Soft polyester- washable that is tied with an "o" ring to keep in the style of the tube. Do I offer this to everyone? Do I need to show a picture?

FINAL 36 Hours!
We've had many backers ask is there is a chance to get a pouch for the tube and the answer is yes!

We're currently at $21,970 closing on our second Stretch Goal of $25,000 to add a soft protective sleeve as an add on.
To help us get there, I have added a special add on for everyone who has pledged $35 and over.

So you will get a pouch for 25% off the pouch! ($8 - 25% = $6 of the full price for the pouch. But you better hurry before the project ends as it will not be available at this price once the project ends.

All you need to do is click on 'manage' pledge and add $6 to your pledge.

Does this sound ok? Comment?
