What projects are excluded from inclusion in backerclub?

I just spoke with a creator on a project that I think will get a following. I asked them about backerclub and they said they already applied but were denied. The creator asked for reasons why, but the backerclub manager would not give specifics. Their creation is adult themed, albeit mild. I'm wondering if there are any criteria for exclusion from backerclub? It would help to know if we try to refer creators.

This is the reply I got asking them the same/similar thing previously:

"We don't discuss our criteria for accepting or rejecting because it is somewhat subjective and never really goes anywhere positive to get into an argument about it"

Projects are excluded which the founders/admin feel will not get traction her or do not fit their image of BackerClub. We've asked a few times in the past to have more say/input into the types of projects. But they aren't interested which is their right. They are putting time and money into creating a brand which draws backers and creators. I don't participate on the forum as much as I think I'm too negative. Generally they seem to be growing in influence even if it's not the direction I'd like us to be going in.

I'm one othe the early backers when they opened to the public.
