Wood Pens Made From Whiskey Barrel Staves

I'm new here to Backerclub, but not new to backing projects. I've backed 160 projects on KS in the past two years. I really believe in what KS is about. It's launched dreams for a many of people, and I have met several new friends through the projects I have backed. I've wanted to do a project since the first day I found KS. So here it is. My first project. I recently got into woodworking. Something I've wanted to do for a long time. I've seen projects like mine in the past, and thought it was a good place to start. The pens I'm turning use wood from whiskey barrels-including Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam, Makers Mark, and Wild Turkey. I've really enjoyed turning the pens I have so far. I'm getting better with each one I do. I've already received some great support and encouragement from the group. Thank You.
