Thanks for the update. It might be me, but you don't have a $40 pledge, it goes from $30 to $47. Are you saying pledge $30 for one and increase to $40 to get the free one? I am sorry but I am confused.

Maybe it's just me, but I dislike losing the extra functions between the two offerings. Can you offer the tool with the NFC logo thingy as an add-on to the key ring?

All this NFC stuff is Greek to me. I'm never sure if it is any use to me as an iPhone user.

Tasha, what iPhone do you have? The new 6 and 6+ can use nfc. Currently i beleive for Apple pay only. Nfc works like qr codes without having to scan anything as it is near field communication. Also, nfc can do more than link to a website. Do you remember app called bump or those sprint commercials that gave you a song when you touched your phone to the addvertisement?

I'm on an old 4S. Apple for now is keeping NFS locked for Apple Pay only on the 6 and 6S.

I haven't watched commercials in over 10 years. You've heard of DVRs right? Why watch live when you can record and skip commercials? This might be the main reason I fell for my husband 16+ years ago. LOL

Got it. So currently NFC not useful to me. Hmm I think I'm backing at least one NFC project.

I unplugged from cable a few years ago, so no dvr for me. This commercial was old......a long time ago.

I don't think any iPhone older than 6 has nfc built in.

I backed for the non-NFC version.

Nope the older iPhones don't have NFC and Apple is resisting unlocking NFC on the 6/6S. Gosh I remember when Apple was a leader not a follower/behind the curve. Another reason not to rush to upgrade. Why give Apple my money when there are so many great Kickstarters.

First, thanks for backing!
Secondly, as you said - NFC is curently build-in on iPhone 6, but restricted only for Apple pay (might be soon, that Apple open NFC for all functions in next models - http://www.cnet.com/pictures/iphone-7-m ... eatures/8/)

We do not have option for 40$, but you can pledge 40$ (and choose one of early birds) and get below:
1tool + 1logo = 40$
2 tools = 40$

Unfortunately I can not offer an NFC logo thingy as an add-on (NFC and logo can be only build in on carabiner and not to be added to a key ring separately), but for 40$ you can get 2 carabiners (1tool + 1logo-NFC)
