Need advice

Guys, hope this is the right place and I don't break any rules here, if yes, please let me know.
Need some advice from other creators how to deal with the media, specifically how to get into the tech
circle (Mashable, Techcrunch, Cnet, 9to5 and the other guys). Did a press release with PRWEB but didn't cover up so much
We know that people like our design approach when they see it. So any advice or contacts are very much appreciated.
There is one more thing
