Is being on upcoming projects worth it?

Whats everyones thoughts on sitting in Upcoming Projects to build a following, rather then just launching a project?
I just put mine in Upcoming but I searched it and its not showing as "newest" and it's pages down to even find... Not sure if to wait or not?
