Here's another game I've backed: Between Two Cities The description says "Design unique and beautiful cities in this partnership-driven, 20-minute, competitive tile-drafting game for 2-7 players." When they reach $150K (probably next week) they will add solo rules.

New game up that I have backed and am extremely excited about.
Tesla vs. Edison is a light-to-medium weight strategy game for 2-4 players. You are an investor who teams up and creates a company with one of the exciting, visionary inventors leading the nascent electric light and power industry of 1880s and 1890s America.

Your inventor, along with other famous people of the period that you hire as employees in your company, work together to claim electric projects across the United States, advance your company's technology, engage in propaganda wars with the other companies, and buy and sell stock from your and your competitors companies.

Tesla vs. Edison plays quickly and provides interesting decisions while telling the exciting story of the birth of electricity.

I don't usually like war games, but the more I look at this one the better it seems. It's Hands in the Sea. It's a two-player deck building war game set during the First Punic War between Rome and Carthage from 264-241 BC. Even though it says "card game" it is definitely a board game and the board looks great.

Here's their description:

Inspired by A Few Acres of Snow, this game features several new elements, including navies, naval battles, cavalry superiority, mercenaries, field battles, sieges, manpower, strategy cards, random events, turn based scoring, bribery and tactical bonuses. The name of the game is based on a quote from a Carthaginian commander, who claimed at the outbreak of hostilities that the Carthaginian control of the seas was such that the Romans would not even dare wash their hands in the sea. We have hired the talented Naomi Robinson to do the cover for Hands in the Sea.

Above and Below is a gorgeous storytelling game by Ryan Laukat, who has created games including City of Iron, Eight-Minute Empire, and The Ancient World.

The one-liner is: Explore a massive cavern and build your new village above and below ground in this storytelling/town-building mashup board game.

Another great looking game I've backed is v Far Space Foundry

Far Space Foundry plays 1-4 players at 20 minutes per player. What makes this game unique is its interesting implementation of a rondel as its core mechanism, but it also blends worker placement and spacial management on a double-sided game board to provide a streamlined and strategic playing experience.

In Far Space Foundry, you will lead a team of pilots through two distinct phases - Space Foundry Alpha and Space Foundry Beta. At Space Foundry Alpha, you will manage the transit, storage, and processing of asteroid ore in your warehouse -- all while swindling with the Galactic Traders and hiring the expertise of veteran pilots from the Alpha Cantina.

At Space Foundry Beta, you will utilize the ore you transported from Space Foundry Alpha to manufacture and charge finished products, as well as upgrade your fleet. The recruit that can best load their freighters to supply our peacekeepers on the front lines will lead our mission to success.

Welcome to the Federation, Recruit. Your mission begins now.

Federation is unity. Federation is peace.
