We have our product Doddl Cutlery currently running on kickstarter with 16 days to go. Everyone thought this product would do very well and is completely stumped as to why it is not doing significantly better. As a backer - please can you say what is stopping you or dissuading you from backing this project so we can try and address this? The product works fantastically well, has been receiving great reviews and is award winning.....at a loss to work out why support from potential backers is so limited. Appreciate some honest feedback. Thanks

Great Product, Limited Backers - can you explain why?
- No doubt you've done a lot of good research on the matter, but it all comes across as rather personal and not independent. Can you provide a link to an external study thatshows how your product addresses issues for children?
- concurrent with that , how much additional benefit do you get from purchasing Doddl as opposed to just purchasing toddler toddler silverware. $30 a set is not out of range but a bit steep
- I think you need more than just 3 product testers. Demos with it working with more kids might be helpful
- need kids of a certain age to be willing to purchase. I'm reluctant to purchase as a gift for friends for fear that it's too personal a decision for them. don't know how you get around that.

Thank you - that's extremely useful feedback and clearly we are not conveying the true value of the product to children and parents. We have worked with over 80 children developing the product - in school, nursery and home environments. We have utilised a Child Development Specialist during our testing and research to ensure we are encouraging correct motor skill function. The product is award winning and we already have interest from a major UK retailer to stock Doddl cutlery. I can see that we are not conveying this clearly enough and as you say, I can see how it comes across as too personal, when in reality, you will probably not find one piece of cutlery/flatware that can rival the amount of development and testing Doddl has undertaken. The problem perhaps with us having a very small marketing budget and undertaking most of this ourselves.
I will start work on over hauling the campaign page! Thanks very much

As I mentioned to you in PM on Kickstarter additional colors would be great but on a limited budget I know that's difficult. I see you've mentioned them on Kickstarter as Stretch goals.
In my circles it's not unusual to give silver spoons when kids are born. I sometimes give "themed sets" around the time kids start eating and this is in the price range. My plan is to but a couple sets for the next time I need baby gifts.
Possibly showing a child using regular kids silverware & then yours would help. Also ask the kids as well as parents on video what they think of the difference between the two.
If you don't fund I'd get those videos. Make mdtommyd suggested changes. Relaunch.
Let current backers know you will be relaunching and a week before you do relaunch share the preview link with them. Ask what they think of new story/videos and any changes to pledges. Day of relaunch post reminder link on "old" campaign to new. This will hopefully help with visibility as most of previous backers will back again right away,
