First, it's great to be part of this community and thank you to the many BC members who backed us.
We're now 11 days out to the final end of our campaign and we're in a lull.
Wanted to reach out to BC forum to see if you think we are getting out our message properly. There are two versions of the stand, one small one (10") for tablets and the larger one for laptops (12"). They will hold any laptop or tablet not just iPads and MacBooks.
Just wanted any feedback or suggestions on what you think. http://kck.st/17mv2dJ

I think it all looks good.
My only other observation is that perhaps since the product price is on the high range of impulse buy, you need to get it in front of groups who can attest to the need for something like this - perhaps posting in some physical therapist blogs and appropriate ailment blogs? I don't know of any offhand.

Any stretch goals you are working on should be displayed prominently on your story page. I started digging in updates to find them. Saw one heading indicating stretch goal one reached... Maybe... I didn't read the update. I was looking at your campaign as a potential backer. The story page isn't showing the excitement of being funded and new goals reached its still selling "please fund us".
You want to show appreciation for reaching funding & new exciting stuff that has happened since then & could happen if they backed. Not long text but bold & meaningful.
Top of story page do these in bold
#1 update Date you did it we are funded - thank you we can't wait to ship you 3 in one and hear how much you love them
#2 update Date wow blew us away by reaching 1st stretch goal now x level/everyone who ordered a 3 in 1 gets...
Locked stretch goals
List next 2-3 goals
Also change your "share text" - what goes out when people click the share buttons - "now working on 2nd stretch goal"

I would absolutely list them, link to their articles and even include a few positive quotes. Positive reviews and comments from objective third-parties is a big selling point,in my opinion. Some of the biggest questions I consider when reviewing a project is whether the Creator and project seen legitimate and trustworthy, and whether the product will be of good and lasting quality. These are not easy things to judge when I can't experience the product for myself before pledging my money to back it up. Unlike Amazon or any other store, where I could return or exchange a product I bought online, I cannot normally count on that capability for something pledged for in KS. All I have to base my decision on Is the limited information that is available to me, the description, the video (if they have one), past projects (if they have one), and maybe their private websites (if they have one). So seeing reviews from journalists or bloggers with backgrounds in the area, who have gotten to see, touch or interact with the product and/or interview the Creator is a really nice bonus, that makes me more comfortable with that project and might even consider pledging for a higher reward tier.daleror wrote:One other thing. As backers what do you think of listing bloggers/journalists who have featured us? Mostly everyone does it, but I'm wondering if it is a little distracting to the project?
Okay, so "Stretch Goal #1" was supposed to be at $15K, but you called it met at $12K. Now you're almost at $20K and projecting over $23K according to Kicktraq. Is there a "Stretch Goal #2"? I couldn't find any sign of one. You might want to make a big deal, like Tasha suggested, at the TOP of your Story page about:
Funded on December 7!
Stretch Goal 1 smashed on September 11!
Stretch Goal 2 (what it is) is in our sights at $___
Help us in our home stretch these last # days by pledging and spreading the word.
And then updating the # in the last line every day to continue to drive the sense of urgency. I noticed in one of the updates that you supposedly added some new pledge tiers, but I didn't get what they were. You could add "NEW REWARDS as of XX/YY: This, That, and The Other Thing. Update your pledge while there is still time!" to the block at the top of your page.
Finally, a trick I've not seen anyone use yet, but which I don't see why it wouldn't help with a final push is to add "Last Minute Rewards" pledge levels. Take your most popular reward or two, include an Add On or two, and list at a small discount to the normal total. Send out an update announcing them at about the 48 hour mark. And if you make them limited quantity, send out another update every 12 hours with progress towards that next Stretch Goal, how many wonderful backers you have, how few "Last Minute" rewards are left, and a couple of other projects you'd like to help support.
8 days left right now and already trending towards $23K? I see no reason why you couldn't push that to $25 or $30K with proper "advertising."

Hi. Good information but I'm a little confused on this: Take your most popular reward or two, include an Add On or two, and list at a small discount to the normal total
Ok, so say we take our most popular reward of $49. What do you mean by an add on? How do I list the discount? I thought you couldn't do this on KS?
I was thinking for backers only to take the most popular reward $49 and if you refer three people who buy it (they need to tell me who they have referred to buy) then the person referring gets 50% off the $49? Does this seem reasonable or not. Would this entice you to refer three of your friends to get the discount?
If you have some projects that have done what you suggested, would you mind sending the link so I can look at it?
Regarding the $25K Stretch Goal - I was thinking of doing an add on of a pouch for $8. What does anyone think. Thanks.
I also have a physical therapist who is the owner of a large physical therapist center and has given us a testimonial as to why he thinks this is a good product. Should I include this in an update as well as add to front page?
