Living my dream in Southern Spain

Hi everyone, Kath here.
I used to be a very unhappy dentist in London, dreaming of living the life of an artist in Andalusia since my first visit in 1998.
Well, it's taken a good few years and false starts but here I am...living in the attic of a crumbling 19th century townhouse which is also my workshop and gallery...enjoying spectacular views of of the Cadiz countryside and working full time as an illustrator.
I'm a relative newbie to Kickstarter, I love, love, love the concept. So creative, so open, so egalitarian.
I have so far been mainly attracted by projects relating to art and mental health, I believe the two to be closely related. Perhaps the most exciting is The Institute of Artivism in Cuba - comprising physical and online platforms which host international artists and activists to foster civic literacy and policy change. My pledge rewarded me and a Cuban person with a year's membership, now I just have to get to Cuba before my membership runs out...what an adventure!
I am also a KS creator.
Thank you for reading!
