Hi All,

I am an IT professional working in this industry for over 10 years. I love my profession except one thing; "sitting at my desk all day". I joined the gym but after a month or two, could not keep up the same pace and slowly dropped to 1 day a week by end of 6th month... Please I am being honest here OK

My friend told me about Kickstarter few months backs and seriously it can be addictive. There are so many interesting things that it's hard to keep your hands off... But the concept is amazing and revolutionary!

One of the many ideas that could and should be implemented I tried to find how it is that projects are subitted,included or rejected and fond little or no useful info about how it is run but numerous posts from people saying that a creator should not promote thei idea on here. If you provide people with a full rundown of how it all works then there would be much fewer complaint posts about people who don't understand the rules.

Mark is pretty set against explaining anything about the project criteria/acceptance process. I created this thread to help creators.

Yeah I've suggested to Mark a couple of times that "welcome to BackerClub" emails with basic explanations of what to/not to do would be useful (one for creators & another for backers). He's not responded to any of those emails. I've had better luck asking him to make a few post stickies/always at top of various forms. Those only work if people take time to read before jumping in and in a number of cases he's ignored my suggestions for making posts/threads stickies.

This is true on many media Tasha, especially nasty if someone tries to self-promote on Reddit...they are serious on that site! Ruthless. Greg

I think Reddit is the worst of the all. If a popular redditor doesn't like your post for whatever the reason, you may as well delete your page because they will rip you apart. Then on the other hand, if you're like, you'll flourish...

would *love* that! am new here rather confused about quite a few things "backer bucks" can be earned in a "number of ways" but no info on what those are? talk about referrals (i actually learned about the club from someone explaining it in the comments section of a campaign i was following!) though i have no idea where one's personal link is? probably a lot more im missing, too (though could just be me, lol) your posts have been incredibly helpful, btw ~ thanks!

BackerBucks are primarily earned through referrals. You can find your referral links by clicking the <Profile> link at the top of the page, then click the <Refer to BackerClub> link on that page. You will see referral link codes for you there.

thanks, toren! navigating the ins & outs of this club has been rather frustrating (i *definitely* agree with others there should be a "getting started" guide!) but has made me extra grateful for the help of active members such as yourself
