The Million Dollar Poster - Crowdfunding History

Hi, I just launched my first CF campaign. Aim is to make it very collaborative. It's a real project for CF as the final main product (the poster) isn't known yet as it required the contribution of the backers. Thanks for sharing / commenting backing if you do so :) Email : Hi@themilliondollarposter....

Re: Survey IDEA 4: Local Backer / Creator community

Yes. Love the idea of supporting a food truck or local shop indeed. I actually emailed a guy who is crowdfunding now for a bar based on the band "DEPECHE MODE". I told him his perks were way to high. And suggested a perk like a 50 or 100 EUR bar tab credit with a 10% discount or so). Easy to handle ...

Re: Survey IDEA 3: Shipping Product in 1 place, then nationa

The best example for it (of course) is Exploding Kittens game. It's small in volume. I paid 35 USD + 15 USD shipping oversea. I'd be interested how many backers are from France, Benelux, Germany, UK for instance. IF just 5000 backers out of the 220.000 backers. That's shipping costs (including packa...

Re: Survey IDEA 1: Concept Store with Crowdfunded products

* brick and mortar store (with online as well, hard to do without)
* I'd say 80% of the products ARE only Crowdfunded products
* In Europe (any large city) as first focus as to also host a permanent address for backers who prefer to have their perks/products shipped there :)

Re: Favorite Kickstarter Rewards?

I like the product that of course were pre-ordered (VAAVUD Sleipnir, MIPOW Playbulb color, MIPOW Playbulb rainbow) I even had no smartphone by then. I first got the products then bought a smartphone. What I'm more interested in (and I bet creators too) are the side-products goodies that you like? an...

Re: MAGZET: The Audio Jack Reinvented with the Power of Magn

I had backed you for 55$+10$ (shipping). 1) I think the price is perhaps a little too much but I certainly 2) have the pain so I backed! My laptop fell a few times when I had to take a phone call or something cooking in the kitchen and jumped fast forgetting I had a headset on. In expeditions, one p...

Re: Rank: Pledge Amount vs Number of Projects Backed

Thanks Mark. Before being a "full" (>50 projects) member, I backed about 3-4 projects at 1$ as a way to receive news + having a way to connect to the creator in the future. Example: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hydropower/blue-freedom-the-worlds-smallest-hydropower-plant Yesterday I got in t...

Re: backers - ways to help projects succeed

For MicroJib (to be received in a few days), I actually shared on twitter, FB and directly to friends in the outdoor/adventure community + asked to be featured in adventure blogs. Spend perhaps 3 hours for the project. I got just passed the funding. And the creator and I are now close in a way that ...

Re: Last minute angels ---

Mmm, very interesting. I forgot indeed it was possible to add manually the funding "off-KS" and add it on behalf of these funders.
I've seen several (even more en Ulule and KissKissBankBank) times people (i guess creators) topping up their campaign to reach the goal.

Re: Have you backed IndieGoGo projects?

12 on IGG, total +- 800 USD. 6 * 1 USD = just to help 1 * 10 EUR = local project (Radio X) I know the guys indirectly 1 * 20 EUR = a direct friend, he failed his campaign (well flexible) as he was let down by TV stations & celebrities who promised visibility and did nothing. 1 * 55 USD = a product b...
